How we are supporting students to learn at home during the COVID-19 pandemic

We respect the fact that you have decided to keep your child home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please understand that you will not get into trouble for keeping your child at home in Term 2. We will continue to be your child's teacher while they are learning from home, and we ask that you oversee their learning to ensure they stay on track with the work set by their teacher.
Over the four pupil free days at the end of Term 1 teachers designed ‘home based’ learning systems, matched to the Department for Education's guidelines for the implementation of home based learning for Years R-3 and Years 4-7.

Information about ‘home based’ learning procedures will primarily be communicated through our school website, email and software such as Microsoft Teams and SeeSaw. For students without a device, we will be sending paper learning packs home every fortnight with instructions from the teacher. All students learning from home will have regular communication with their class teacher, whether by phone, email or video conference where teachers will 'check-in' to see how students are going with their learning and their wellbeing.
We are in the process of developing class web pages which will include a home learning timetable, quick links to learning resources and contact details for your child's teacher. Check back in soon!
